Today both cities have many music venues, theatres and art galleries, whilst the likes of Bolton, Chester, Preston and Lancaster also offer much in the way of cultural pursuits.
The North West also has fantastic transport links that connect it to the rest of the UK and the world. The region has three major airports – Manchester Airport, Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Blackpool Airport – and extensive road and rail networks.
